NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Olympic Trials qualifier\u00a0Christopher O’Connor\u00a0<\/strong>of North Canton, Ohio, has selected the University of Alabama for his college career and will arrive in Tuscaloosa in the fall of 2020.<\/p>\n

O’Connor does his club swimming with Canton City Schools and capped off his extremely successful summer season by finishing second in the 100m back and seventh in the 200m back at Junior Nationals after finishing fifth in the 50m back at Cleveland Sectionals. Last winter, he recorded five best times at Lake Erie Seniors where he earned silver in both the 50 back and 100 back. Also competing for Hoover High School, O’Connor placed fourth in the 100 back during his junior season at the Ohio State Championships after racing to 11th in that event as a sophomore.<\/p>\n
