NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Cal, Berkeley has received their first verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from talented sprinter McKenna Stone\u00a0<\/strong>of Naperville, Ill.<\/p>\n

Stone does her club swimming with Fox Valley Swim Team and owns the Olympic Trials cut in the 50m free with six additional Summer Juniors standards. She earned a best time at Phillips 66 Nationals this past summer before going on to earn silver in the 50m\/100m free as well as bronze in the 50m fly at NCSAs. Last winter she placed 20th in the 50m free at Nationals, grabbed third in that event at Juniors West, and recorded five top-20 finishes at NCSAs.<\/p>\n

A current junior at Metea Valley High School, Stone is already a four-time Illinois State Championship finalist. She was the runner-up in both the 50 free and 100 free as a sophomore while placing fifth and sixth, respectively, in those events during her freshman season. She has also earned NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n
