The men\u2019s squad won by a final score of 168.50-131.50 and the women\u2019s team defeated the Mustangs 171.00-125.00.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/sec-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SEC COVERAGE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>IN THE POOL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Tigers dominated the day by winning 22 of the 32 events including the two relay races at the beginning and the end of the meet. The women\u2019s 400-Yard Medley Relay team of <strong>Cassie Kalisz, Niamh Robinson, Helen Grossman,<\/strong> and <strong>Katarina Milutinovich<\/strong> won the first race of the day with a time of 3:41.64. The men\u2019s team of <strong>Karl Luht, Luca Pfyffer, Ben Hooper<\/strong>, and <strong>Lewis Clough<\/strong> followed suit by touching the wall in 3:18.03.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In the 200-Yard Freestyle Relay, the women\u2019s team of <strong>Olivia Taylor<\/strong>, Milutinovich, <strong>Summer Stanfield<\/strong>, and Grossman touched the wall first with a time of 1:34.04. To close out the meet, the men\u2019s team of <strong>Jack Jannasch<\/strong>, Luht, Hooper, and Clough won the relay with a time of 1:22.39.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A total of six Tigers won multiple individual races throughout the meet. For the women, Kalisz once again dominated the backstroke events by winning the 100 and 200-Yard Backstroke with times of 54.48 and 1:56.69. This is the third time Kalisz has swept the backstroke events &#8211; doing so in the season opening meet against Tulane and again last time out at Auburn. <strong>Niamh Robinson<\/strong> won both the 100 and 200-Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:03.05 and 2:13.96.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the men\u2019s side, four men won multiple individual races. Clough won both the 100 and 200-Yard Freestyle with times of 45.48 and 1:41.20. Luht won both backstroke events for the second meet in a row. He swam a 48.34 to win the 100-Yard and a 1:47.80 to win the 200-Yard. Pfyffer earned his first two wins on the season by winning the 100 and 200-Yard Breaststroke with times of 56.48 and 2:02.88. <strong>David Boylan<\/strong> won the 200-Yard IM with a time of 4:03.46 and the 200-Yard Butterfly, for the second meet in a row, with a time of 1:50.36.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI\u2019m content with the end result for the day,\u201d said LSU head swim coach Dave Geyer. \u201cWith where we are in training, we have a few people on an upswing and a few that just need a little rest. With that being said, we came here and got the individual and relay wins we needed to secure the win against a talented SMU squad.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>ON THE BOARDS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the women\u2019s side, <strong>Aimee Wilson<\/strong> dominated on the Three-Meter Springboard by diving to a score of 344.85, which is a new season high for the sophomore. Wilson won the event by over 58 points. On one-meter, Wilson finished in second place with a score of 274.10.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAimee (Wilson) was tremendous on three-meter as she won the event and set a new pool record,\u201d said LSU head diving coach Doug Shaffer. \u201cShe was a little inconsistent on one-meter but debuted a new higher degree of difficulty dives which was a success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">For the men, <strong>Manny Vazquez Bas<\/strong> finished in second place on the three-meter with a score of 341.50. <strong>Dakota Hurbis<\/strong> dove to a score of 318.30 on three-meter to finish in fourth place. On one-meter, Hurbis and Vazquez Bas finished in third and fifth place with scores of 290.05 and 173.25, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI thought Manny (Vazquez Bas) did a great job rebounding from a rough one-meter event to take second on three-meter,\u201d continued Shaffer. \u201cI also thought Dakota (Hurbis) was consistent on both boards, just need to be sharper. Overall, we had a lot of positives today.
