The No. 25 women took on the seventh-ranked Trojans as well, fighting a close meet throughout but ultimately falling 184-113.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Team Scores:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Men: Arizona State 184, USC 109<\/li>\n<li>Women: USC 184, Arizona State 113<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2019-arizona-state-vs-usc-ncaa-college-2019-11-01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #800000;\">Arizona State Swimming and Diving Press Release<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Several upperclassmen contributed multiple wins including distance swimmers <strong>Benjamin Olszewski<\/strong> and <strong>Emma Nordin<\/strong>. Olszewski turned heads after defeating 2019 Pac-12 Champion Victor Johansson in the 500 free, taking first place and teammate <strong>Liam Bresette<\/strong> taking second. Olszewski was one of four Sun Devils to win multiple events, joining Nordin (500, 1000 free), <strong>Evan Carlson<\/strong> (50, 100 free) and <a href=\"https:\/\/thesundevils.com\/roster.aspx?rp_id=8857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Zach Poti<\/strong><\/a> (100, 200 back).<\/p>\n<p>The talented freshmen class also continued to prove themselves today, with <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> (200 free) and <strong>Lindsay Looney<\/strong> (200 fly) taking first in events throughout the afternoon. The Sun Devils won 14 of the 28 total events this afternoon, taking an even split against the Trojans.<\/p>\n<p>Over in the diving well, <strong>Youssef Selim<\/strong> again excelled, taking first place in both the one-meter and three-meter events for the second meet in a row. Selim achieved a zone qualifying score in both events last time out, but improved on those scores against USC. Kaellgren also took the board this afternoon, taking fourth in both springboard events.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #ffcc00;\">USC Press Release<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Seniors <a href=\"https:\/\/usctrojans.com\/roster.aspx?rp_id=10727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Louise Hansson<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Naomi Gowlett<\/strong>, junior <strong>Marta Ciesla<\/strong> and sophomore <strong>Isa Odgers<\/strong> each won a pair of races to lead the No. 7 USC women to a win at Arizona State on Friday (Nov. 1) while sophomore <strong>Alexei Sancov<\/strong> led the Trojan men with two victories in a loss to the Sun Devils squad.<\/p>\n<p>The Trojan women won 184-113 while the men lost 184-109.<\/p>\n<p>Hansson got her first win of the day by capturing the 100y back in 54.46 while freshman <strong>Aela Janvier<\/strong> was third (55.18). Janvier later won the 200y back in 1:58.55. Swimming in multiple events for the first time this season, Hansson went on to win her specialty, the 100y fly, in 53.24.<\/p>\n<p>Ciesla won both sprints, taking the 50y free in 22.90 and the 100 in 50.21. Sophomore <strong>Laticia Transom<\/strong>, who won USC&#8217;s first event of the day in the 200y free (1:47.11), finished second in the 50y free (23.04) while junior <strong>Jemma Schlicht<\/strong> was second in the 100y free (50.87) and third in the 200y free (1:50.73). Schlicht was also second to Hansson in the 100y fly (54.78).<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore Isa Odgers remained unbeaten this year in the 200y breast with a 2:13.00 and closed the individual racing with a first in the 400y IM (4:22.06). She was also second in the 100y breast (1:02.66).<\/p>\n<p>In the diving well, senior <strong>Naomi Gowlett<\/strong> swept the springboard events, winning the 1-meter (287.40) and 3-meter (281.85). Senior <strong>Carly Souza<\/strong> was second on 3-meter (270.68) while freshman <strong>Nike Agunbiade<\/strong> was second on 1-meter (275.48).<\/p>\n<p>Senior <strong>Tatum Wade<\/strong> posted a pair of second-place finishes in the 500y (4:53.87) and 1000y free (9:59.84).
