NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Indiana University has picked up a new in-state verbal commitment from Zionsville, Ind. backstroker Elyse Heiser<\/strong>. She\u2019ll join\u00a0Anna Peoplowski<\/strong><\/a> and Mariah Denigan<\/strong><\/a> in Bloomington as a member of the class of 2025.<\/p>\n

A Summer Juniors qualifier, Heiser swims year-round with Zionsville Swim Club and capped off her summer season with four best times at NCSAs after earning bronze in the 200m back at Indiana LCM Seniors. Last winter, she raced both backstroke events at Juniors East before going on to finish third in the 100\/200 back at Indiana SCY Seniors. A current junior at Zionsville Community High School, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American\u00a0finished eighth in the 100 back and ninth in the 200 free as a sophomore at the Indiana State Championships.<\/p>\n
