Also competing for Winona Senior High School, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American is a six-time Minnesota Class A State Championship finalist. He won the 50\/100 free combo as a junior after placing third and first, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cBeyond ecstatic to announce my commitment to study and swim at The Ohio State University! Thanks to my parents, teammates and coaches for everything they do. As soon as I met the team and the coaching staff, I knew OSU was the place for me.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include (SCY\/LCM)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 21.02\/24.51<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 45.38\/52.99<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:47.60\/2:00.27<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When he arrives on campus at the start of the 2020-21 season, Herczeg will join a talented sprint group led by <strong>Sem Andreis<\/strong> and <strong>Josef Pohlmann<\/strong>. She graduated from the University of Vermont in 2019 with a degree in Public Communication and a double minor in Coaching and Sports Management.
