NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Utah has been handed a new verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from talented freestyler\u00a0Taylor Kabacy\u00a0<\/strong>of Tacoma, Wash.<\/p>\n

Kabacy, who owns five Summer Juniors standards and a U.S. Open cut, does her club swimming with Seattle Metropolitan Aquatic Club and most recently placed 19th in the 800m free at Junior Nationals this past summer after taking fourth in the 200m free at Mount Hood Futures. Last winter she finished 18th in the mile at Juniors West, earned silver in the 400 IM and 500 free at Washington Seniors, and grabbed bronze in the mile at Federal Way Sectionals. A current senior at Stadium High School, Kabacy has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors twice in her career thus far.<\/p>\n

She told Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so excited to finally announce my verbal commitment to continue my swimming and academics at the University of Utah class of 2024! I\u2019d like to thank everyone who helped me through this process including my family, friends, teammates, and coaches! Go Utes!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
