She&#8217;ll join\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/indiana-hoosiers-score-2021-verbal-from-u-s-national-junior-teamer-mariah-denigan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Mariah Denigan<\/strong><\/a> at Indiana as a member of the class of 2025 and will have one year of overlap with her sister,\u00a0<strong>Noelle Peplowski<\/strong>, who is currently a sophomore freestyler for the Hoosiers.<\/p>\n<p>A six-time Summer Juniors qualifier, Peplowski swims year-round with Waves Bloomington\/Normal Y Swim Team. She placed 13th in the 50m free and 23rd in the 100m back this past summer at Junior Nationals after earning gold in the 200m back and two silvers at Illinois LCM Seniors. Last winter, she raced four events at Juniors West before going on to register five top-6 finishes at Illinois SCY Seniors. A current junior at Metamora High School, Peoplowski has earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c90a0a;\"><strong>&#8220;Super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Indiana University!! Beyond thankful for my family, my teammates, my friends, @coachyourd and all coaches who helped get me to this point. Go Hoosiers!!! #HoosierNation&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free \u2013 22.86<\/li>\n<li>100 free \u2013 50.13<\/li>\n<li>200 free \u2013 1:48.91<\/li>\n<li>100 back \u2013 55.43<\/li>\n<li>200 back \u2013 1:57.86<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peplowski will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when she arrives in Bloomington as a member of the class of 2025.
