She\u2019ll arrive in Knoxville for the start of the 2021-22 season along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/lady-vols-secure-another-backstroker-josephine-fuller-will-arrive-in-knoxville-for-2021-22-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Josephine Fuller<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/tennessee-earns-2021-verbal-from-national-junior-teamer-summer-smith\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Summer Smith<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/canadian-junior-champion-asia-minnes-verbally-commits-to-lady-vols-for-2021-22\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Asia Minnes<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A rangy freestyler, Eaker does her club swimming with SwimMAC Carolina and is a four-time U.S. Open qualifier. She most recently placed seventh in the 1500m free, 10th in the 400m free, and 17th in the 800m free at Junior Nationals this past summer after winning the 400m\/800m free combo at NC LCM Seniors. Last winter, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American recorded five best times at the Southern Premier Invitational before going on to earn silver in the 1000 free at Greensboro Sectionals. A current junior at Bradford Prep School, Eaker\u00a0was the runner-up in both the 200 free and 500 free as a sophomore at the North Carolina 1A\/2A State Championships.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>\u201cI am so honored and thrilled to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of Tennessee! I can\u2019t wait to be part of the Lady Vol family! #GBO&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In SCY, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free: 23.83<\/li>\n<li>100 free: 51.96<\/li>\n<li>200 free: 1:49.69<\/li>\n<li>500 free: 4:56.94<\/li>\n<li>1000 free: 9:57.33<\/li>\n<li>1650 free: 16:51.87<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In LCM, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50m free: 26.63<\/li>\n<li>100m free: 57.72<\/li>\n<li>200m free: 2:04.29<\/li>\n<li>400m free: 4:18.87<\/li>\n<li>800m free: 8:54.97<\/li>\n<li>1500m free: 16:57.55<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Eaker has made massive improvements over the past two years, dropping 15 seconds in the 200 free, 32 seconds in the 500 free, and nearly two minutes in both the 1000 free and mile.
