NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>Xavier University has picked up a pair of verbal commitments for the fall of 2020 from Mason, Ohio native Anna Baker<\/strong> and Emma Jury <\/strong>of Louisville, Ky.<\/p>\n

Both swimmers are talented butterflyers and will add valuable depth to the Musketeers’ lineup when they arrive on campus as members of the class of 2024. Xavier finished second in the team standings at the 2019 Big East Championships.<\/p>\n

Baker swims year-round with Mason Manta Rays and capped off her summer season by earning a best time at Geneva Futures and placing ninth in the 50m fly at Ohio LCM Seniors. Last winter, she raced six events at the Southern Premier Invitational where she notched a lifetime best and finaled in the 200 fly.<\/p>\n

A current senior at Bishop Fenwick, Baker has competed at the Ohio State Championships each of her last two high school seasons. She most recently finished eighth in the 100 fly as a junior.<\/p>\n
