NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The Hoosiers have gained a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from Saratoga, Calif. breaststroker\u00a0Jassen Yep<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A two-time U.S. Open qualifier, Yep swims year-round with Peak Swimming under head coach Abi Liu<\/strong>. He placed 13th in the 200m breast this past summer at Junior Nationals after racing both breaststroke events at Phillips 66 Nationals. He finished 11th in the 200 breast at Juniors West last winter before going on to earn gold in that event at Carlsbad Sectionals as well as gold in the 100 breast at Far Westerns.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Archbishop Mitty High School, Yep is a four-time CIF Central Coast Section Championship finalist. He won the 100 breast and took ninth in the 100 fly as a junior after finishing ninth in both events during his sophomore season. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American also finished fourth in the 100 breast at the 2019 CIF State Championships.<\/p>\n
