NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/b>Piscataway, N.J. native\u00a0Gabriel Orbe\u00a0<\/strong>has pledged his verbal intention to continue his academic and swimming career at the University of Louisville and will suit up for the Cardinals at the start of the 2020-21 season.<\/p>\n

He will also join\u00a0Jeffrey Tuning<\/strong><\/a>, Dalton Lowe<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Aidan Kreiley<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Louisville next fall.<\/p>\n

Orbe, who has achieved the Olympic Trials cut in the 200 fly, does his club swimming with Scarlett Aquatics. He most recently placed 14th in the 200m fly at Junior Nationals this past summer after racing both fly events at Phillips 66 Nationals. Last winter, he earned 100% best times at Juniors East where he took 14th in the 200 fly before going on to earn silver in that event at Indianapolis Sectionals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Saint Peter’s Prep School, Orbe\u00a0finished third in the 100 fly and sixth in the 200 IM at the National Catholic Championships during his junior season. At the 2019 New Jersey Meet of Champions, he grabbed bronze in the 100 fly.<\/p>\n
