{"id":397860,"date":"2019-10-12T07:39:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-12T14:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=397860"},"modified":"2019-10-13T09:16:47","modified_gmt":"2019-10-13T16:16:47","slug":"ymca-national-champion-victoria-eisenhauer-verbally-commits-to-harvard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/ymca-national-champion-victoria-eisenhauer-verbally-commits-to-harvard\/","title":{"rendered":"YMCA National Champion Victoria Eisenhauer Verbally Commits to Harvard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Harvard University has secured a new verbal commitment* for the fall of 2020 from breaststroker and IMer <strong>Victoria Eisenhauer\u00a0<\/strong>of Montville, N.J.<\/p>\n<p>Eisenhauer does her club swimming with Sommerset Valley YMCA under head coach\u00a0<strong>Dan Roth\u00a0<\/strong>and most recently placed 19th in the 100m breast at Junior Nationals this past summer after winning the 50m\/100m breast combo at YMCA LCM Nationals. Last winter, she finaled in both breaststroke events at Juniors East before going on to finish eighth in the 200 breast at YMCA SCY Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Also competing for Montville Township High School, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American is a six-time New Jersey Meet of Champions finalist. Eisenhauer earned bronze in the 200 IM and took fourth in the 100 breast during both her sophomore and junior seasons after placing ninth and fifth, respectively, in those events as a freshman.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201cI am ecstatic to announce my commitment and acceptance to Harvard University via the likely letter process!! Harvard\u2019s perfect balance of world-class academics, stellar athletics, and a fun-loving swim family made it an easy choice for me! Thank you to my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for the endless support throughout this journey! I could not be more excited to join an incredible team of women! GO CRIMSON!!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 breast &#8211; 30.76<\/li>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 1:02.26<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 2:16.95<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 2:03.80<\/li>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:29.62<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 55.76<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When she arrives in Cambridge as a member of the Crimson&#8217;s class of 2024, Eisenhauer will make an immediate impact in their breaststroke group.
