NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Sacramento, Calif. native\u00a0Emma Peters\u00a0<\/strong>has opted to stay in-state for her college career and has verbally committed to the University of San Diego beginning next fall.<\/p>\n

Primarily a freestyler, Peters swims year-round with DART Swimming under head coach Brian Nabeta<\/strong> and most recently earned a pair of best times at Western Zones this past summer where she finished 24th in the 100m fly. Last winter, she raced four events at College Station Speedo Sectionals where she registered lifetime bests in the 50 free and 100 free.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Saint Francis High School, Peters is a six-time CIF San Joaquin Sectional Championship finalist. She placed seventh in the 200 free and 11th in the 100 fly as a junior after finishing ninth in the 200 free and 12th in the 200 free during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
