NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Minnesota has scored a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from distance standout\u00a0Chris Nagy\u00a0<\/strong>of San Diego, Calif.<\/p>\n

Nagy, who gets faster as the distance gets longer, does his club swimming with Team Elite and owns three U.S. Open standards. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American most recently competed at Junior Nationals this past summer, registering three best times and an 11th-place showing in the 1500m free. Last winter, he finished 15th in the mile at Juniors West before going on to earn bronze in that event at Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals. Also competing for University City High School, Nagy placed fourth in the 500 free and eighth in the 200 free as a sophomore at the CIF San Diego Section 2 Championships.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n
