NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Louisville has picked up a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from sprinter\u00a0Jeffrey Tuning\u00a0<\/strong>of Cary, N.C.<\/p>\n

Tuning, who owns a trio of Winter Juniors standards, does his club swimming with New Wave Swim Team under head coach John Roy<\/strong>. He capped off a successful long course season with four best times at the TYR Summer Senior Championships where he was the 50m free runner-up and earned bronze in the 50m fly. Last winter, he raced three events at Juniors East before going on to register three finals appearances at NCSAs in March.<\/p>\n

Only in his fourth year of year-round competitive swimming, Tuning has seen major improvements. Over the past two seasons, he has dropped two seconds in the 50 free, three seconds in the 100 free, and five seconds in the 100 fly. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American will surely look to carry his recent long course momentum heading into the upcoming short course season.<\/p>\n
