Stott<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>After founding the Magnolia Aquatic Club in 2001, Terry Jones elevated his Houston area team to USA Swimming Club Excellence bronze medal status (2012) and subsequently to gold, where it has resided since 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Coach Terry led the Magnolia Aquatic Club girls to a third-place finish at the Speedo Summer Junior Nationals in 2016. David Johnson, head coach at Alamo Area Aquatics, advised me, \u201cBe yourself and don\u2019t try and be anyone else.\u201d I started locally at the grassroots level, basically teaching swimming lessons. I loved the sport and believed anyone who had a chance to get a taste of it would, too.
