NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Kanagawa, Japan’s Rei Kuramoto\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to Georgia Tech and will arrive in Atlanta, Ga. as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

She most recently recorded a best time in the 200m free at the Japan High School Championships after finaling in the 400m free at the Junior Olympic Trials. Kuramoto has also represented the Japanese Swimming Federation.<\/p>\n

When in the United States, Kuramoto competes for Burlingame Aquatic Club. She last competed at Santa Clara Futures in 2018 where she finished fourth in the 200m fly and fifth in the 100m fly. While representing Burlingame High School, the USA Swimming Scholastic All-American competed in the 100 fly and 200 IM as a sophomore at the CIF State Championships.<\/p>\n
