NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Missouri State University has earned a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from four-time U.S. Open qualifier\u00a0Dylan Moffatt\u00a0<\/strong>of Independence, Iowa.<\/p>\n

He will also join\u00a0AJ Huskey<\/strong><\/a>, Robbie Hill<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0James Doromal<\/strong><\/a> in Springfield next fall.<\/p>\n

A talented freestyler who gets faster as the distance gets longer, Moffatt does his club swimming with Linn-Mar Swim Team and most recently placed sixth in the 400m free, eighth in the 800m free, 15th in the 200m free, and 18th in the 1500m free at Junior Nationals this past summer. Last winter, he raced to 13th in the mile at Winter Nationals and recorded four best times at Rochester Sectionals.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Cedar Falls High School, Moffatt is a four-time Iowa State Championships finalist. The NISCA All-American was the runner-up in both the 500 free and 200 IM as a junior after winning the 500 free and taking fourth in the 200 free during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n
