NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Breaststroker and IMer\u00a0Makayla Sura\u00a0<\/strong>of Carmel, Ind. has given her in-state verbal commitment to Indiana State University and will join the Sycamores as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Sura swims year-round with Carmel Swim Club under coach\u00a0Thomas Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>and capped off her summer long course season with a pair of best times and a 19th-place finish in the 200m breast at Indiana LCM Seniors. Last winter, she recorded four top-18 finishes at Indiana SCY Seniors and earned 100% lifetime bests at Indianapolis Sectionals.<\/p>\n

She told Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I would like to announce my commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Indiana State University! Thanks to all of my friends, family, and coaches who have supported and challenged me over the years. I can\u2019t wait to be a Sycamore! Go Trees!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
