NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Huntersville, N.C. backstroker and IMer Sarah Barton\u00a0<\/strong>has handed the University of Nebraska, Lincoln their first verbal commitment for the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Barton, who owns a pair of U.S. Open standards, swims year-round with SwimMAC Carolina and raced two events at Junior Nationals this past summer after recording four top-5 finishes at North Carolina LCM Seniors. Last winter, the two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American placed 18th in the 200 back at Juniors East. Also competing for Southlake Christian Academy, Barton won the 100 back and 200 IM as a junior at the NCISAA DII State Championships.<\/p>\n
