Trident General Manager <strong>Kaitlin Sandeno<\/strong> has added Czech <strong>Simona Kubov\u00e1<\/strong> and German <strong>Annika Bruhn<\/strong> to the team, D.C. Trident announced today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m so excited to welcome Simona and Annika to our team,\u201d said Sandeno. \u201cWith the additions of these amazing women to our team, we can now look forward collectively to our first ISL meet, which I cannot believe is less than three weeks away. We are a formidable group, and I truly believe the talent that we have on our team is more than enough to win in this league.\u201d<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Annika Bruhn is a two-time Olympian for her home country of Germany, competing at both the 2012 games in London and the 2016 games in Rio de Janeiro.<\/li>\n<li>Bruhn also won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships in Kazan, and won multiple European Championship medals in 2018 in Glasgow. She has also swam on several national record-setting relays for Germany.<\/li>\n<li>Simona Kubov\u00e1 began swimming for the Czech national team at the age of 14, and by 18 held a national record. She has since set more than 60 national records.<\/li>\n<li>Kubov\u00e1 has one 11 European Championship medals, as well as one World Championship and one World University Games medal.
