NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Novato, Calif. native\u00a0Zach McIntyre\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to Duke University and will join the Blue Devils as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler, McIntyre does his club swimming with Marin Pirates and owns four Summer Juniors time standards. He most recently recorded a best time at Junior Nationals this past summer after earning silver in the 50m free at Santa Clarita Speedo Sectionals. Last winter, he earned 100% personal best times at Juniors West before going on to win the 200 free at Arizona Senior Opens.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Novato High School, McIntyre is a four-time CIF North Coast Section Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American placed fourth in the 100\/200 free combo during as a junior after finishing fourth and 14th, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited to become part of the Duke family and make relationships in the four years that will last a lifetime. \u00a0I\u2019d like to thank my coaches and teammates for helping me along the way.
