NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Cincinnati has received a pair of verbal commitments for the fall of 2020 from\u00a0Jewel Gordon\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Brina Uhlin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Gordon, a breaststroker, and Uhlin, a butterflyer, will both add valuable depth to the Bearcats’ training groups and will make an impact at the American Athletic Conference Championships. They will join Kennedy Grotjohn<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and Liz Jantausch<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as members of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

A native of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Gordon owns the Winter Juniors standard in the 100 breast and swims year-round with Baylor Swim Club. She most recently recorded a best time at Greensboro Futures after placing sixth in the 50m breast at the Southeastern LCM Championships. She notched lifetime bests in the 100 breast and 100 fly at Juniors East last winter before going on to final in the 50 breast at NCSAs in the spring.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Baylor School, Gordon is a six-time TISCA State Championship finalist. She\u00a0took third in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 breast as a junior while helping her team earn medley relay gold and secure the team title<\/a>. Gordon also raced to fifth in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 free during her sophomore season after placing ninth in both events during her rookie campaign.<\/p>\n
