NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Alabama has earned a new verbal commitment for the 2020-21 season and beyond from\u00a0Isabella Matesa\u00a0<\/strong>of Lebanon, Ohio.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler, Matesa owns a pair of Winter Juniors standards and does her club swimming with Mason Manta Rays. She recently placed 14th in the 100m free at Geneva Futures after earning gold in the 50m free at Ohio Junior Olympics. In March, she recorded two best times at the Southern Premier Invitational where her highest finish was an 11th-place showing in the 50 free.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Ursuline Academy, Matesa is a three-time Ohio State Championship finalist. She finished fifth in the 50 free and ninth in the 100 free as a junior after racing to 12th in the latter event during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
