NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Vermont has received their first verbal commitment for the fall of 2020 from\u00a0Hazel Wilkins<\/strong>, who will make her way to Burlington from Merrick, N.Y.<\/p>\n

A talented butterflyer and IMer, Wilkins swims year-round with Long Island Express and most recently placed eighth in the 100 fly at the Suffolk County Championships in April. Last winter, she raced four events at Ithaca Speedo Sectionals after finaling in both fly events at the MIT Invitational.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Bellmore-Merrick Central High School, Wilkins is a three-time qualifier in the 100 fly at the New York Federation Championships. She finished 17th in her signature event during her junior season after racing to 19th during her sophomore season and 11th in her rookie campaign.<\/p>\n
