That\u2019s because Carmel\u2019s girls have won an amazing 33 straight high school state championships, the longest streak in any high school sport in the United States. Nationally, Carmel has been recognized as the top overall girls\u2019 high school team six times\u2014including five straight years from 2013 to 2017\u2014and the top public school team an additional five times.<\/p>\n<p>For the boys, meanwhile, the school has previously produced an overall national championship team in 2004 and a public school title in 2017. This year, Carmel\u2019s boys won Swimming World\u2019s overall boys\u2019 national high school championships again with a 157-144 victory over Cincinnati\u2019s Sycamore High School.
