While he didn\u2019t quite reach his seed time of 1:58.69, he was the only one in the field to break 2 minutes during Wednesday\u2019s prelims to open the second day of competition.<\/p>\n<p>Foster took the top seed in the event in 1:59.30 with a strong 55.18 on the front half. She was out in 1:01.92 and finished in 2:09.86.<\/p>\n<p>She was the only swimmer in the field to break 2:10.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary\u2019s <strong>Blanka Berecz<\/strong> took the second seed in 2:10.20, followed by Australia\u2019s <strong>Elizabeth Dekkers<\/strong> (2:10.70) and USA\u2019s <strong>Lillie Nordmann<\/strong> (2:10.82). Nordmann had the top entry time in 2:07.43.<\/p>\n<p>Hungary had another swimmer in the top eight as <strong>Fanni Fabian<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 2:11.41. Two swimmers from Turkey followed as<strong> Zehra Bilgin<\/strong> took the sixth seed in 2:11.70, followed by <strong>Defne Tacyildiz<\/strong> (2:11.77) and South Africa\u2019s <strong>Dune taking the top seed in the 200 free.<\/p>\n<p>Urlando finished the race in 1:47.91, the only swimmer to break 1:48 during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow American <strong>Carson Foster<\/strong> took the second seed in 1:48.11, which could lead to a compatriot battle for the title during finals.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, six other swimmers in the finals will have something to say about it.<\/p>\n<p>Australia\u2019s <strong>Thomas Neill<\/strong> took the third seed in 1:48.20, just ahead of Brazil\u2019s <strong>Murilo Stein Sartori<\/strong> (1:48.56) and Hungary\u2019s <strong>Gabor Zombori<\/strong> (1:48.72).<\/p>\n<p>China\u2019s <strong>Hong Jingquan<\/strong> (1:49.13), Russia\u2019s <strong>Aleksandr Shchegolev<\/strong> (1:49.16) and Sweden\u2019s 4&#215;100 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>The U.S. mixed relay took the top seed as<strong> Wyatt Davis, Kevin Houseman, Justina Kozan<\/strong> and <strong>Amy Tang<\/strong> completed the race in 3:50.35.<\/p>\n<p>Davis started with a 54.72 split in the backstroke.
