NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Charlotte, N.C. native and rising high school senior\u00a0Jackson Davis\u00a0<\/strong>has declared his verbal intention to continue his academic and swimming career at the University of South Carolina beginning next fall.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler and backstroker, Davis owns two Summer Juniors standards and swims year-round with SwimMAC Carolina. He most recently competed at Junior Nationals where he recorded a pair of best times after registering four top-8 finishes at North Carolina LCM Seniors. Last winter, he raced three events at Juniors East before going on to take ninth in the 100 back at North Carolina SCY Seniors.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Charlotte Latin High School, Davis is a four-time NCISSA DI State Championship finalist.\u00a0He won the 50\/100 free combo as a junior after taking first in the 100 free as well as second in the 100 back during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m more than excited to announce that I have verbally committed to the University of South Carolina for Fall of 2020. USC has an incredible Business School, and an awesome Swim and Dive Program where I know I can continue to reach my education and swimming goals.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
