NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>South Lebanon, Ohio native and rising high school senior\u00a0Leah Luckett\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to the University of Kentucky and will arrive in Lexington as a member of the class of 2024.<\/p>\n

Luckett does her club swimming with Countryside YMCA and most recently competed at the TYR Summer Senior Championships where she finished seventh in both the 50m back and 100m free. She raced four events at YMCA Nationals in April and earned a best time at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Kings High School, Luckett is a four-time Ohio State Championship finalist.\u00a0She placed fifth in the 100 free and eighth in the 200 free as a junior after finishing ninth and seventh, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so excited to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky. I chose Kentucky because of the great coaching staff and team. I cannot wait to spend 4 years in Lexington!
