This is the final session of a long two weeks for the Avery Aquatic Center in Palo Alto, California where they hosted US Nationals last week and Speedo Junior Nationals this week. Finals will begin at 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2019-speedo-junior-nationals-day-five-finals-heat-sheets-day-5-usa-age-group-2019-08-10.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HEAT SHEETS<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The 200 IM will start the session with 13-year-old <strong>Leah Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>leading the women&#8217;s qualifiers this morning. Hayes is one of the young up-and-coming athletes in this sport. She was a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-world-presents-up-comers-leah-hayes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> featured age grouper of the month<\/a> in\u00a0<em>Swimming World\u00a0<\/em>in 2016 and was also\u00a0<em>Sports Illustrated&#8217;s<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/leah-hayes-named-sports-kid-of-the-year-by-sports-illustrated-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sports Kid of the Year<\/a> in 2018. Hayes is seeded two seconds ahead of 15-year-old\u00a0<strong>Justina Kozan\u00a0<\/strong>and 17-year-old\u00a0<strong>Felicia Pasadyn<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>16-year-old\u00a0<strong>Tim Connery\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the men&#8217;s 200 IM for Swim MAC Carolina as he is head and shoulders above the rest of the field.\u00a0<strong>Arsenio Bustos\u00a0<\/strong>is seeded second two seconds behind Connery as those two were the only ones to go under the Olympic Trial standard this morning.\u00a0<strong>Zach Hils\u00a0<\/strong>is seeded third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Juli Arvaze\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the women&#8217;s 1500 as the top three seeded swimmers are under the Olympic Trial cut with\u00a0<strong>Summer Smith\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Sophia Karras\u00a0<\/strong>in second and third.<\/p>\n<p>The 50 free is the last individual event for the women with\u00a0Stanford commit\u00a0<strong>Emma Wheal\u00a0<\/strong>leading the way for the finalists. Wheal is the top seed ahead of Indiana commit\u00a0<strong>Cora Dupre\u00a0<\/strong>and 16-year-old\u00a0<strong>Lindsay Flynn<\/strong>. 14-year-old\u00a0<strong>Zoe Skirboll\u00a0<\/strong>is also one to watch in the future and she is seeded fifth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hunter Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the men&#8217;s 50 free as he will be headed to West Virginia University this fall. Armstrong was the only one to get under the Olympic Trials cut this morning with\u00a0<strong>August Lamb\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Matt King\u00a0<\/strong>sitting in second and third.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 800 free will be the last event for the men with\u00a0<strong>James Plage\u00a0<\/strong>sitting as the top seed in the timed final event.
