The meet in Jinan, China is the second of seven meets in the FINA Swimming World Cup this year. The first took place in Tokyo, Japan from August 2-4.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/omegatiming.com\/2019\/fina-swimming-world-cup-jinan-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.finatv.live\/en\/competitions\/2019-sw-world-cup\/video\/swimming-finals-8-aug-2019-08-08-jinan-sw-world-cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row\">\n<h2><strong>Men&#8217;s 400 IM\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dominating the men&#8217;s 400 IM was Australia&#8217;s <strong>Thomas Fraser-Holmes<\/strong> with a time of 4:20.50. The 400 IM is one of Fraser-Holmes strongest events and he was first from the very beginning, being the only swimmer under the one minute mark in the first 100m butterfly by going a 57.35.<\/p>\n<p>Coming in roughly fourteen seconds after Fraser-Holmes was the United State&#8217;s swimmer <strong>Brennan Gravley<\/strong> with a time of 4:34.99.<\/p>\n<p>Taking third in this evenings finals was <strong>Kai-Chen Chu<\/strong>\u00a0of Taiwan with a time of 4:38.75. Both girls came close to the World Cup record set by Australia&#8217;s <strong>Kiah Melverton<\/strong> set last week in Japan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maddy Gough<\/strong> of\u00a0Australia\u00a0followed Sullivan and Hour by just over three seconds to get third with a time of 8:29.94. Gough went out fast and was first at the 100m mark with a time of 1:01.73.<\/p>\n<p>In fourth was <strong>Wenxin Bi<\/strong> with a time of 8:41.65, followed in fifth by <strong>Caiping Szabo currently holds 7th place overall with 21 points.<\/p>\n<p>Also holding 21 overall points was second place finisher <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> of the United States.
