Wanezek is ahead of\u00a0<strong>Kennedy Noble<\/strong>, who was highlighted as an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-world-presents-up-comers-kennedy-noble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">age grouper of the month<\/a> by\u00a0<em>Swimming World <\/em>last year.\u00a0<strong>Cora Dupre<\/strong> is seeded thirda t 2:14.58 while\u00a0<strong>Katie Rauch\u00a0<\/strong>also dipped under the Olympic Trials cut at 2:14.67. Wanezek was also a featured <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-world-presents-up-comers-maggie-wanezek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">age grouper of the month<\/a> in September 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Paige McCormick\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.86),\u00a0<strong>Felicia Pasadyn\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.88) and\u00a0<strong>Sophia Tuinman\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.03) also advanced to the final. Marcum is almost two full seconds ahead of\u00a0<strong>Aaron Sequeira\u00a0<\/strong>(2:02.59), who came into the meet as a 2:05 swimmer. Sequeira got under the Olympic Trials cut, as did\u00a0<strong>Ian Grum<\/strong> (2:02.66), who was the top seed coming into the meet. Grum&#8217;s seed time was under 2:00.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elliott Jones\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.32),\u00a0<strong>Colby Mefford\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.43),\u00a0<strong>Christopher O&#8217;Connor\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.48),\u00a0<strong>Hunter Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.60) and\u00a0<strong>Nathan Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>(2:03.76) also qualified for the final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESULTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>2:00.78, Jake Marcum, MCC<\/li>\n<li>2:02.59, Aaron Sequeira, CM-OH<\/li>\n<li>2:02.66, Ian Grum, DYNA-GA<\/li>\n<li>2:03.32, Elliott Jones, PACK-GU<\/li>\n<li>2:03.43, Colby Mefford, SMST-SN<\/li>\n<li>2:03.48, Christopher O&#8217;Connor, CCS<\/li>\n<li>2:03.60, Hunter Armstrong, CCS<\/li>\n<li>2:03.76, Nathan Hayes, SMAC<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p><em>Olympic Trials cut: 56.29<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amelia Liu\u00a0<\/strong>posted the only sub-56 100 free on Wednesday morning at the 2019 Speedo Junior Nationals in Palo Alto with a 55.92 to lead\u00a0<strong>Mandy Brenner\u00a0<\/strong>(56.11) and\u00a0<strong>Miranda Heckman\u00a0<\/strong>(56.14). Liu will be a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/princeton-tigers-earn-verbal-from-metroplexs-amelia-liu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">freshman at Princeton<\/a> this fall while Heckman will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-juniors-team-member-miranda-heckman-verbally-commits-to-texas-longhorns-class-of-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">headed to Texas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Dynamo&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tristen Ulett\u00a0<\/strong>is seeded fourth at 56.27 as she just got under the Trials cut. Maurer is ahead of\u00a0<strong>Hunter Armstrong\u00a0<\/strong>(50.39) Swim MAC&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Walker\u00a0<\/strong>(50.67) and\u00a0<strong>Tim Connery\u00a0<\/strong>(50.72).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matthew Jensen<\/strong>, the younger brother of Cal swimmer <strong>Michael Jensen<\/strong>, posted a 50.74 to move up to fifth. Grum is ahead of\u00a0<strong>David Johnston\u00a0<\/strong>(4:25.56) as they were the only two under the cut this morning.
