The women of the Sarasota Sharks comfortably won the meet with 267 points. The Blue Dolfins finished second with a 235 points. They edged out the women of the Marlins of Raleigh, who scored 228 points. The men of Tac Titans claimed victory with 236 points. They beat out the men of the Marlins of Raleigh, who finished in second place with 228 points, and the men of the Nashville Aquatic Club, who had 125 points.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Sophia Housey\u00a0<\/strong>finished in first place with a 57.24, just ahead of <strong>Savannah Barr<\/strong>, whose second place finish came at 57.82. <strong>Blair Stoneburg<\/strong> attained third place with a 58.06.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jennifer Secrest<\/strong> finished fourth with a 58.20, and fifth place went to <strong>Emma Wright<\/strong>\u00a0at 58.42. <strong>Peyton Curry<\/strong> finished in sixth place with a time of 58.54. <strong>Ella Marlow<\/strong> finished seventh with a 59.14, and <strong>Mckaley Goldbum<\/strong> would round out the top 8 with a 59.78.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Robert Cecil<\/strong> would return to the top with a time of 51.05. With a 51.59, <strong>Reese Branzell<\/strong> would secure second place, and <strong>Spencer Jyawook\u00a0<\/strong>finished third at 52.24.<\/p>\n<p>In fourth place would be <strong>Wesley Kephart<\/strong>, with a time of 52.54. <strong>Peter Labarge<\/strong> wouldn&#8217;t finish far behind, taking fifth with a 52.64. <strong>Sidrell Williams&#8217;<\/strong> 52.96 netted him sixth place, while seventh place went to <strong>Thomas Bruner<\/strong> at 53.31. Bruner out-touched <strong>Stephen Jones<\/strong>, who hit the wall at 53.41 for eighth place.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Julia Podkoscielny<\/strong> also returned to the top, collecting another gold medal with a 2:15.07. The silver medal went to <strong>Morgan Jones<\/strong>; her time was a 2:16.81. <strong>Alaina Skellett<\/strong> received the bonze medal for her 2:16.98.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Freed\u00a0<\/strong>took fourth with a 2:17.14, while <strong>Elizabeth Tilt&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>fifth place came at 2:18.38.\u00a0<strong>Hanna Wasmuth\u00a0<\/strong>finished in sixth place with a 2:18.67. In seventh place was <strong>Lily Welsh<\/strong> with a 2:19.30, and <strong>Ava Yandle<\/strong> finished at 2:19.84 in eighth place<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Braeden Haughey&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>2:02.17 comfortably secured him first place. He finishing ahead of <strong>Erek Nelson<\/strong> (2:04.82), who took second, and <strong>Lance Norris<\/strong> (2:05.17), who finished third.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stephen Conrad<\/strong> finished in fourth place with a 2:06.63. In fifth was<strong> Liam Custer<\/strong>, whose time was a 2:07.04. <strong>Colin Cotter<\/strong> finished in sixth with a time of 2:07.25. <strong>Alexander Tomlinson\u00a0<\/strong>was the seventh swimmer to the wall, touching at 2:07.70. <strong>Ryan Patterson<\/strong> would round out the top eight with a 2:12.45 finish.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Continuing her dominance, <strong>Julia Podkoscielny\u00a0<\/strong>claimed first place with a time of 2:18.24. It was a close contest for second and third, with <strong>Jennifer Secrest<\/strong> ultimately securing second place at 2:20.27, leaving <strong>Hannah Holman<\/strong> to settle for third place. Holman&#8217;s time was a 2:20.33.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Freed<\/strong> attained fourth place with a 2:21.34. In fifth place, <strong>Gracie Weyant<\/strong> would hit the wall at 2:21.61, while <strong>Zorryonna Mason\u00a0<\/strong>touched sixth with a 2:22.71. <strong>Sophia Anderson<\/strong> finished seventh with a 2:23.99, and <strong>Evelyn Sierra<\/strong> finished eighth with a 2:23.94.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Philip Meffert<\/strong> was able to hold off <strong>Bryar Long<\/strong> to secure the gold medal with a 2:07.06. Long&#8217;s 2:07.15 netted him the silver. <strong>Evan Petty<\/strong> went home with the bronze medal, finishing with a 2:08.08.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lance Norris<\/strong> finished in fourth place with a 2:08.26, and <strong>Andrew Garner<\/strong> took fifth place with a 2:08.33. Close behind them was <strong>Luke Shrouds<\/strong>, whose sixth place finish came at 2:08.46. <strong>Jason Green<\/strong> took seventh place with a 2:08.71, splitting hairs with <strong>Sean Quinn,<\/strong> who settled for eighth with a 2:08.78.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>The A relay representing the Tac Titans would emerge victorious with a time of 4:20.45. In second place would be the A relay of the Sarasota Sharks at 4:21.38, and the A relay of the Marlins of Raleigh took third place with a 4:21.94.<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Dolphins (A, 4:22.70), Nashville Aquatic Club (A, 4:22.78), Sarasota TSunami Swim Team (A, 4:23.09), Dynamo Swim Club (A, 4:23.31), and Rockford Riptide Swim Team (A, 4:24.57) would round out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 4&#215;100 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>The Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s A relay finished on top with a 3:51.27. The A team representing the Mid-Michigan Aquatics secured second place with a 3:54.93, while the A team of the Nashville Aquatic Club finished third with a 3:55.69.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the top eight would be the Dynamo Swim Club (A, 3:55.95), the Sarasota Tsunami Swim Team (A, 3:56.62), the Marlins of Raleigh (B, 3:56.69), T2 Aquatics (A, 3:57.31), and the Blue Dolphins (A, 3:57.76).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Madison Murtagh\u00a0<\/strong>claimed victory with a strong 17:05.56, finishing over five seconds ahead of <strong>Adrianna Cera<\/strong>, who touched the wall second at 17:11.24. <strong>Polina Rukosuev<\/strong> finished in third place with a time of 17:12.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carlie Rose<\/strong> took fourth place with a 17:20.77. At 17:22.16, <strong>Emily Knorr<\/strong> would be the fifth swimmer to finish. <strong>Evelyn Sierra<\/strong> attained sixth place with a 17:23.45, beating out a surging <strong>Olivia Dinehart<\/strong>, who finished seventh in 17:23.56. <strong>Julia Brzozowski<\/strong> finished in eighth with a time of 17:27.43.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h3>\n<p>In first place would be <strong>Grant Davis<\/strong>, who hit the wall at 8:17.79.<strong> Riley Sampson<\/strong> finished second with a 8:19.94, just ahead of <strong>Andrew Jordan<\/strong>, whose third place finish came at 8:20.03.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tyler Watson<\/strong> finished fourth with a time of 8:22.64, while <strong>Noah Smith<\/strong> finished close behind in fifth place with a time of 8:22.97. <strong>Conor Cranfield&#8217;s<\/strong> sixth place finish came at 8:23.45. <strong>Neal Wolfram<\/strong> claimed seventh place with an 8:25.53, and at 8:26.28, <strong>Joshua Legge<\/strong> would finish eighth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Danny Whirlow, Swimming World College Intern.\u00a0 The Futures Greensboro meet concluded today with one final day of strong competition.
