The concluding day of the 2019 Futures Championships at Mt. Hood saw great swims across the board. This meet is taking place at the Mt. Hood Aquatic Center from August 1-4.<\/p>\n

The events contested today include the 100 free, 200 back, 200 IM, 400 medley relay, women’s 1500 free and the men’s 800 free.\u00a0Parker Reynolds\u00a0<\/strong>won his third title of the meet (400 free, 800 free, 1500 free) to emerge as the undisputed distance champion, while Kathryn Krolikowski<\/strong> swept the IMs and Patrick Park<\/strong> won the 100 free, 100 fly and 50 free.<\/p>\n

Team Scores<\/h3>\n

On both the men’s and women’s side, Tualatin Hills topped the score chart. They won by over 400 points, to emerge as the victors. The top overall team scores were as follows:<\/p>\n

    Women’s 1500 Free<\/h3>\n

    College Area Swim Team’s Sarah Nowaski<\/strong> won this event by over 11 seconds as she touched the wall at 17:09.11. In second place was Tualatin Hill’s Ryan Falk\u00a0<\/strong>in a time of 17:20.60, while Maelynn Lawrence<\/strong> of La Mirada Armada finished third (17:22.74).<\/p>\n

    La Mirada Armada’s Kathleen Sulkevich<\/strong> finished fourth (17:29.14), followed by North Bay Aquatics’ Sophia Bell<\/strong> (17:29.25), Novaquatics’ Summer West<\/strong> (17:30.63), Tri-city Channel’s Regan Geldmacher<\/strong> (17:35.08) and La Mirada Armada’s Cathryn Salladin<\/strong> (17:39.07).<\/p>\n

    Men’s 800 Free<\/h3>\n

    Santa Maria’s Parker Reynolds<\/strong> proved his distance swimming brilliance as he swept the 400, 800 and 1500 free at this meet. He won by over 10 seconds, swimming a time of 8:11.86. His teammate, Blake Simpson<\/strong>, finished second with a time of 8:22.60. Quicksilver’s\u00a0Mason Carlton<\/strong>\u00a0took third place in a time of 8:27.03.<\/p>\n

    In fourth place was Novaquatics’ Mitchell Scott<\/strong> with a time of 8:27.20, while La Mirada Armada’s William Schodorf<\/strong> nabbed fifth place (8:27.62) and Tualatin Hill’s Trenton Martinez<\/strong> finished sixth (8:28.35). Temecula’s Justin Schneider<\/strong> (8:29.55) and Los Angeles Swim Club’s Adam Copses<\/strong> (8:29.88) rounded out the top eight swimmers.<\/p>\n

    Women’s 100 Free<\/h3>\n

    Bainbridge’s Eleanor Beers<\/strong> won this event to take home her second title of the meet. She swam a time of 56.88. Alpha’s Katrina Mortenson<\/strong> finished second in 57.05, while Sloane Reinstein<\/strong> of Palo Alto Stanford finished third in 57.39.<\/p>\n

    Unattached Mia Facey<\/strong> took fourth place (57.64), while Cougar’s Chloe Larson<\/strong> grabbed fifth place (57.84). North Bay Aquatics’ Collete Berkenfield<\/strong> finished sixth (58.18), followed by Boise YMCA’s Eva Suggs<\/strong> (58.28) and Canyon’s Reagan Nibarger<\/strong> (58.40).<\/p>\n

    Men’s 100 Free<\/h3>\n

    Patrick Park<\/strong> swimming for Fast won his third event of the meet, winning gold comfortably in a time of 50.97. In second place was unattached Timothy Lee<\/strong> (51.48), while Tualatin Hill’s Trenton Martinez<\/strong> finished third (51.76).<\/p>\n

    North Bay Aquatics’ Jackson Mason<\/strong> took fourth place (51.78), followed by Socal’s Reece Hemmens<\/strong> (51.91), Ccat’s Zachary Van<\/strong> Zandt<\/strong> (52.15), Wolverine’s Daniel Ilin<\/strong> (52.24), and Novaquatics’ Marcus Lee<\/strong> (52.34).<\/p>\n

    Women’s 200 Back<\/h3>\n

    Bay’s Emma Lepisova<\/strong> made a clean sweep of the backstroke events, winning in a time of 2:18.18. Unattached Delaney Smith<\/strong> was close behind for second place (2:18.75). Aulea Swim Club’s Alanakeahola Barthel<\/strong> finished in third at 2:19.14.<\/p>\n

    North Coast Aquatics’ Noelle Harvey<\/strong> took fourth place (2:19.27), while Multnomah’s Isabella Wallace<\/strong> finished fifth (2:20.04) and Boise YMCA’s Eva Suggs<\/strong> finished sixth (2:20.25). Tualatin Hill’s Tia Lindsay<\/strong> (2:20.34) and Olympic Cascade’s Alexa Hooper<\/strong> (2:25.29) rounded out the championship final.<\/p>\n

    Men’s 200 Back<\/h3>\n

    Canyon’s Kevin Childs<\/strong> emerged victorious in a time of 2:06.08. Mission Viejo Nadadore’s Humberto Najera<\/strong> took runner-up honors with a time of 2:07.07, while Riverside’s Joshua Hanson<\/strong> finished third with a time of 2:08.24.<\/p>\n

    In fourth place was Rancho San Dieguito’s Jacque Wenger<\/strong> (2:08.67), while Superior Stingray’s Marcus Gentry<\/strong> finished fifth (2:08.90) and Rancho San Dieguito’s Carlos Munoz Renteria<\/strong> finished sixth (2:09.24). Lake Oswego’s Curtis Klein<\/strong> took seventh place (2:09.68) and Boise YMCA’s Paul Shutt<\/strong> finished eighth (2:10.16).<\/p>\n

    Women’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

    Winning her third event of the meet was Aquazot’s Kathryn Krolikowski<\/strong> with a time of 2:19.20. She has established herself as the IM queen at this meet, winning both the 200 and 400 IM. Tualatin Hill’s Katherine Adams<\/strong> won a close race for silver with a time of 2:19.55, while unattached Ella Kirschke<\/strong> finished third (2:19.80).<\/p>\n

    Pro Swimming’s Catherine Yu<\/strong> took fourth place (2:22.47), while unattached Delaney Smith<\/strong> came fifth (2:22.89). Seattle Metropolitan’s Jaime Chen<\/strong> was close behind for sixth (2:22.93), followed by Tualatin Hill’s Emma Matous<\/strong> (2:24.50) and De Anza Cupertino Aquatics’ Chanell Kann<\/strong> (2:25.17).<\/p>\n

    Men’s 200 IM<\/h3>\n

    Tualatin Hill’s Marco Nosack<\/strong> won the final individual event of the night, swimming a time of 2:07.21. North Bay Aquatics’ Gabriel Giacoppo<\/strong> finished in a close second (2:07.34), while Dart’s Tommaso Townsend<\/strong> finished third (2:09.11).<\/p>\n

    Wave’s Alexandru Omusoru<\/strong> took fourth place (2:09.15), while Tualatin Hill’s Diego Nosack<\/strong> finished fifth (2:09.41). They were followed by North Bay’s Ethan Stornberg<\/strong> (2:10.05), Dart’s Tate Cutler<\/strong> (2:10.46) and Mission Viejo’s Humberto<\/strong> Najera<\/strong> (2:13.96).<\/p>\n

    Women’s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n

    The Tualatin Hills Swim Club quartet of Tia Lindsay<\/strong>, Jessica Maeda<\/strong>, Fay Marie Lustria<\/strong> and Lily Gardner<\/strong> took home the gold in a time of 4:17.68. Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics took the silver with a time of 4:20.02 while Tualatin Hill’s “B” Team took the bronze (4:21.17) to showcase their depth.<\/p>\n

    Men’s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n

    Unattached Dart’s team of Tate Cutler<\/strong>, Tom Higdon<\/strong>, Max Leisten<\/strong> and Timothy Lee<\/strong> won the gold medal in a time of 3:52.35.
