Some of the world&#8217;s best swimmers have stayed in Asia after last week&#8217;s World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea to take advantage of more long course racing whilst holding on to their tapers. The biggest story of the morning was the return of Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Kosuke Hagino\u00a0<\/strong>to international racing waters.<\/p>\n<p>The Tokyo spot is one of seven stops on the World Cup tour this year as the meet will shift to China next week and Singapore the next.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.finatv.live\/en\/competitions\/2019-sw-world-cup\/video\/swimming-heats-3-aug-2019-08-03-tokyo-sw-world-cup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Stream<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/omegatiming.com\/2019\/fina-swimming-world-cup-tokyo-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Live Results<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Back<\/h3>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>had the fastest time in the 50 back heats with a 24.91 as he was the only swimmer to break 25 seconds in the heats. USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>had the second fastest time of the heats on Saturday morning at the FINA World Swimming Cup in Tokyo with a 25.00. Japan&#8217;s <strong>Takeshi Kawamoto\u00a0<\/strong>(25.30) and Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>(25.42) placed third and fourth.<\/p>\n<table class=\"summary World Swimming Cup in Tokyo. Wilson was first at 1:58.98 while Throssell was second at 1:59.07. Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nagisa Ikemoto\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.16) and Hungary&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zsuzsanna Jakabos\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.63) were third and fourth and the only others ones to break swimmer to break 2:00 in the 200 IM heats on Saturday morning at the 2019 FINA World Swimming Cup in Tokyo. Prenot was a 1:59.04 as he is the top seed heading into finals ahead of Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.02) and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kotaro Takahashi\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.21).<\/p>\n<p>Notably,\u00a0<strong>Kosuke Hagino\u00a0<\/strong>made his return to competition after some time away with a 2:01.52, placing sixth. Hagino, the 2016 Olympic gold medalist in the 400 IM, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2016-olympic-gold-medalist-kosuke-hagino-pulls-out-of-japanese-nationals-cites-lack-of-hunger-for-next-years-olympics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sat out the World Championships<\/a> this year to do some soul searching about his future in the sport of swimming. Hagino had lost motivation and pulled himself out of consideration for the World Championships because he wasn&#8217;t up for it. He has now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kosuke-hagino-moves-focus-to-2020-olympics-after-sitting-out-worlds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shifted his
