Cal\u2019s <strong>Sean<\/strong> <strong>Grieshop<\/strong> is the top seed in the men\u2019s event.<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 fly, <strong>Kelsi Dahlia<\/strong> is the top seed, while<strong> Regan Smith<\/strong> will also compete. <strong>Dana Vollmer<\/strong>, who announced she will retire after this meet, will swim her last 100 fly prelims on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>In the men\u2019s 100 fly, <strong>Ryan Lochte<\/strong> is slated to swim along with a group of contenders that includes <strong>Jack<\/strong> <strong>Conger<\/strong>, <strong>Luca Urlando<\/strong> and <strong>Justin Lynch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/omegatiming.com\/2019\/phillips-66-national-championships-live-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">LIVE PAGE FOR 2019 Phillips 66 US National Championships<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p>Scotland\u2019s <strong>Hannah Miley<\/strong> used a strong breaststroke leg to pull away and take the top seed in the 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p>Miley and<strong> Brooke Forde<\/strong> were tied at the 250 mark at 2:56.93 before Miley used a 39.68 split, while most of the competition was in the 40s, to pull ahead and hang on for the win 4:41.23.<\/p>\n<p>Forde took the second seed in 4:41.54 and will be a factor in the finals, swimming in her home pool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Weyant<\/strong> hung close behind in the final heat and finished in 4:42.00, just ahead of 800-free-champ <strong>Ally McHugh<\/strong>, who finished in 4:42.02 to take the fourth seed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kelly Fertel<\/strong> took the fifth seed in 4:42.04 just ahead of 200-breast-champ <strong>Madisyn Cox<\/strong> (4:42.05) as seeds 3-6 were separated by five hundredths of a second combined.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Emma Barksdale<\/strong> took the seventh seed in 4:42.33, followed by <strong>Kate Moore<\/strong> (4:44.18).<\/p>\n<p>With swimmers balancing holding back a little for the finals and also making sure they make the final, the race for the title should be exciting with swimmers\u2019 strengths spread out between the different strokes.<\/p>\n<p><img 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong> is the world junior record holder in the 400 IM, but he is looking to make a statement at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>The Cal swimmer used a balanced race to take the top seed in the event in 4:16.60.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the Mason Rays brothers <strong>Carson<\/strong> and <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> took the second and third seeds, respectively. Carson finished in 4:17.27, while Jake finished in 4:17.85, which sets up an intriguing final. She split a 26.82 on the front half, then a strong 30.52 coming home to touch the wall first in 57.34.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Amanda Kendall<\/strong> took the second seed in 57.80, followed by high school swimmer of the year <strong>Torri Huske<\/strong> (57.98). Huske was followed by three more high schoolers <strong>Claire Curzan<\/strong> (58.16), <strong>Lillie Nordmann<\/strong> (58.36) and <strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> (58.38) as the youth movement at nationals continued.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aly Tetzloff<\/strong> took the seventh seed (58.55), followed by <strong>Natalie Hinds<\/strong> (58.67). <strong>Katie Drabot<\/strong> was the first left out of the finals in 58.83.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <strong>Dana Vollmer<\/strong> swam the final race of her career. The Olympic gold medalist announced her retirement to follow this meet earlier this week. It is not just that he got the top seed, but how he did it.<\/p>\n<p>Rooney\u2019s time of 50.68 is the second-fastest performer in the world this year behind <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> (49.50 WR).<\/p>\n<p>It was an extremely fast event this morning as <strong>Jack Conger<\/strong> took the second seed in 51.21 (seventh-fastest in the world this year), followed by <strong>Jack Saunderson<\/strong> (51.36, ninth-fastest this year).<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Shebat<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 51.95, very fast, but overshadowed by the first three.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Giles Smith<\/strong> was fifth (52.16), followed by <strong>Danny Kovac<\/strong> (52.27),<strong> Luca Urlando<\/strong> (52.33) and<strong> Ryan Held<\/strong> (52.35).<\/p>\n<p>Urlando&#8217;s time was the fourth-fastest national age group time (17-18) in the event.
