Egypt\u2019s<strong> Farida Osman<\/strong>, USA\u2019<strong>s Kelsi Dahlia<\/strong>, Australia\u2019s <strong>Brianna Throssell<\/strong> and Canada\u2019s <strong>Penny Oleksiak<\/strong> will also be aiming for the medal podium.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 50 free final will follow. Can <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> break another <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/caeleb-dressel-shatters-100-fly-world-record-in-49-50-rome-2009-phelps-vs-cavic-battle-is-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">world record<\/a>? He is seeded first in the 50 free with a 21.18. The record is 20.91 (<strong>Cesar Cielo<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>He will have Brazil\u2019s<strong> Bruno Fratus<\/strong>, Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Benjamin Proud<\/strong> and Russia\u2019s <strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> around him, while USA\u2019s <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> will be in lane eight.<\/p>\n<p>Dressel will be the top seed in the 100 fly as well after setting the world record in the semis at 49.50. Hungary\u2019s <strong>Kristof<\/strong> <strong>Milak<\/strong> and Russia\u2019s <strong>Andrei Minakov<\/strong> will be on either side of Dressel, while Britain\u2019s<strong> James Guy<\/strong>, Germany\u2019s <strong>Marius Kusch<\/strong>, South Africa\u2019s <strong>Chad le Clos<\/strong>, France\u2019s <strong>Mehdy Metella<\/strong> and Australia\u2019s <strong>Matthew Temple<\/strong> all have a chance at a medal.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 800 free final will feature <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong>, who earlier in the meet was forced to withdraw from a couple of events because of illness. USA teammate<strong> Leah Smith<\/strong> is the top seed, while Australia\u2019s <strong>Ariarne Titmus<\/strong> and Italy\u2019s <strong>Simona<\/strong> <strong>Quadarella<\/strong> will also aim for medals in the event.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 200 back final will feature <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/regan-smith-shatters-missy-franklins-200-back-world-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new world holder<\/a> <strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> in lane four, flanked by Italy\u2019s <strong>Margherita Panziera<\/strong> and Canada\u2019s<strong> Kylie Masse.<\/strong> The rest of the field includes medal contenders <strong>Taylor Ruck<\/strong> of Canada, Hungary\u2019s <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> and<strong> Katalin Burian<\/strong> and Australia\u2019s <strong>Minna Atherton<\/strong> and <strong>Kaylee McKeown<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 50 free semifinals will feature Australia\u2019s<strong> Cate Campbel<\/strong>l in lane four of the first semi, flanked by Denmark\u2019s <strong>Pernille Blume<\/strong> and USA\u2019s <strong>Abbey Weitze<\/strong>il, along with <strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong>. The second heat will have Sjostrom in lane four, flanked by Russia\u2019s<strong> Mariia Kameneva<\/strong> and USA\u2019s <strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>. Kromowidjojo will, like Sjostrom, aim for a double medal, while Australia\u2019s<strong> Bronte Campbell<\/strong> and Britain\u2019s<strong> Anna Hopkin<\/strong> will also be in the second semi.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 50 breast semifinals will feature USA\u2019s Lilly King and Jamaica\u2019s Alia Atkinson in the first heat and Italy\u2019s <strong>Benedetta Pilato<\/strong> and <strong>Martina Carraro<\/strong> in the second heat, along with Sweden\u2019s <strong>Sophie Hansson<\/strong> and Russia\u2019s <strong>Yuliya<\/strong> <strong>Efimova<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 50 back semis will feature Americans <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong> and <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> in the first semi, along with South Africa\u2019s <strong>Zane Wadde<\/strong>ll.
