EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, August 8. A day after taking the women’s 200-meter IM world record into another stratosphere, Hungary’s Katinka Hosszu took down the 100-meter IM global mark at the FINA World Cup being held in The Netherlands.<\/p>\n

Hosszu assured herself of another $10,000 check with her third world-record performance of the meet when she clocked in at 57.73 to lower the global mark in the sprint medley. That performance beat the 57.74 mark previously held by The Netherlands’ Hinkelien Schreuder since 2009. <\/p>\n

Hosszu’s previous best had been a 58.49 from the 2012 World Short Course Championships just last December.<\/p>\n
