USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katie Ledecky\u00a0<\/strong>will be swimming the second leg for the Americans as she will be swimming her first race in two days. Ledecky will line up alongside\u00a0<strong>Simone Manuel<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Melanie Margalis\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Katie McLaughlin<\/strong>. This will be the first time since 2013 that Ledecky will not be swimming the anchor leg for the Americans&#8217; 4&#215;200 free relay.<\/p>\n<p>Australia are the top seeds while the United States sits in second. Australia has never won this event at the World Championships and the Americans are going for their fifth straight gold in the event. The Aussies will be tough to beat with\u00a0<strong>Ariarne Titmus<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Madison Wilson<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Brianna Throssell<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Emma McKeon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The gold medal is expected to come between the Americans and the Australians but China and Canada will factor into the medals as well. Canada will bring in\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ruck\u00a0<\/strong>into their team as Ruck will swim second and Oleksiak will anchor.
