LAST week, the World Dwarf Games took place in East Lansing, Mich., with swimmers from 17 different nations taking part in the short course meter competition.  The meet took place at Mason High School.<\/p>\n<p>Among some of the top performers were Paralympians Reagan Wickens, Tanya Huebner and Roger Pouliot.  <\/p>\n<p>Wickens, 18, captured titles in the men&#8217;s 200 free (2:45.74), 100 back (1:36.22), 200 IM (3:18.80) and 100 free (1:18.06).  He also helped Australia to a 200 free relay victory in 2:52.61.  His compatriot Huebner, 35, put together strong efforts in the women&#8217;s events with wins in the 50 fly (42.21), 200 IM (3:29.51), 50 breast (45.76), 100 breast (1:42.08) as well as the 200 free relay (3:23.35). American Pouliot, 56, pulled in titles in the 25 back (45.83), 25 free (30.30) and 25 breast (38.51) <\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Joan Pahisa, Gerard Smits, William Soderling, Megan Atkinson, Katie Rillett-Young, Mia Towl, Maya Kahn, Morgan Ray, Lauren Lanum and Diana Carda also picked up multiple event triumphs.<\/p>\n<p>Special thanks to Gail Dummer for contributing to this report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EAST LANSING, Michigan, August 13.
