TEVYN Waddell of the Mitchell Aquatic Club and Adam Kastigar, who swims for the Aberdeen Swim Club, were the high-point champions at the Central Zone Senior Championships Aug. 2-4 in Bismarck, North Dakota. Swimmers represent their home teams, rather than LSCs, at the Central Zone Senior Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Waddell earned the only zone record at this meet with her 2:22.65 in the women&#8217;s 200 meter breast. The 15-year-old also finished first in all the freestyle events (50 free, 27.39; 100 free, 1:00.19; 200 free, 2:11.00; 400 free, 4:38.74; 800 free, 9:27.86; 1500 free, 17:52.74) plus the 100 back (1:06.68) and 100 fly (1:04.39). <\/p>\n<p>Kastigar, 19, was tops in the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 free (1:59.32, 4:14.87, 8:51.89, 16:51.97), as well as the 200 back (2:13.27), 200 breast (2:30.84), 200 fly (2:13.57) and both IM races (2:09.88 and 4:36.58).<\/p>\n<p>Northern Lights Swim Association earned 689 points, good for first place in the combined team competition. AquaStorm took second (415 points), followed by Pierre Swim Team (315), Aberdeen Swim Club (273.5) and Sioux Falls Snowfox (240).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BISMARCK, North Dakota, August 15.
