Fu will receive stiff competition from Brazil&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Etienne Mederios<\/strong>, Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Georgia Davies<\/strong>, and the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 free has been painted as one of the exciting races of the week as it will feature a match-up between the USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> and Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong>. However, one should not count out Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Vladimir Morozov<\/strong> or Great Britain&#8217;s <strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The USA&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chase Kalisz<\/strong> will begin his quest to defend his 200 IM title in the preliminary session, but it won&#8217;t come easy. He will have to fend off Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daiya Seto<\/strong> in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Another veteran swimmer on the quest to defend their World Championship title is Spain&#8217;s <strong>Mireia Belmonte<\/strong>.
