Complete 2019 World Championships coverage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/2019-fina-world-aquatics-championships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All eyes will be on Great Britain\u2019s<strong> Adam Peaty<\/strong>, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/adam-peaty-achieves-project-56-breaks-100-breast-world-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">broke the world record<\/a> in the 100 breast before even reaching the final in the 100 breast. He will look to lower his mark from a familiar lane four spot.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, compatriot<strong> James Wilby<\/strong> and China\u2019s <strong>Zibei Yan<\/strong> will be on either side of Peaty, hoping to keep pace.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 100 butterfly, a star-studded finals head will feature world record holder <strong>Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong> of Sweden. USA\u2019s <strong>Kelsi Dahlia<\/strong> is in the final, along with Australia\u2019s<strong> Emma McKeon<\/strong>, and NCAA champion <strong>Louise Hansson<\/strong> of Sweden, along with Canada\u2019s upstart <strong>Maggie MacNeil<\/strong>, who will be in lane five right next to Sjostrom.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 50 fly will feature USA\u2019s <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong> in lane four, flanked by Ukraine\u2019s <strong>Andrii Govorov<\/strong> and Brazil\u2019s <strong>Nicholas<\/strong> <strong>Santos<\/strong>. Great Britain\u2019s <strong>Benjamin Proud<\/strong> and USA\u2019s <strong>Michael Andrew<\/strong> will try to crash the party from outside lanes.<\/p>\n<p>The women\u2019s 200 IM is a final with Hungary\u2019s <strong>Katinka Hosszu<\/strong> in a familiar lane four, flanked by USA\u2019s<strong> Melanie Margalis<\/strong> and Canada\u2019s <strong>Sydney Pickrem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There will also be several semifinal heats during the 2019 World Championships Day 2.<\/p>\n<p>The semifinals of the men\u2019s 100 backstroke will feature <strong>Matt Grevers, Markus Thormeyer<\/strong> and <strong>Dylan Carter<\/strong> in the first heat, then USA\u2019s <strong>Ryan Murphy<\/strong>, Japan\u2019s <strong>Ryoskuke Irie, Chian\u2019s Jiayu Xu<\/strong> and Australia\u2019s <strong>Mitch Larkin<\/strong> in the second heat.<\/p>\n<p>The semifinals of the women\u2019s 100 breast feature Russia\u2019s <strong>Yulia Efimova<\/strong> and Jamaica\u2019s <strong>Alia Atikinson<\/strong> in the first heat, then USA\u2019s <strong>Lilly King<\/strong> and Japan\u2019s <strong>Reona Aoki<\/strong> in the second.<\/p>\n<p>In the women\u2019s 100 back semifinals, Canada\u2019s <strong>Taylor Ruck,<\/strong> Australia\u2019s <strong>Minna Atherton<\/strong>, USA\u2019s <strong>Kathleen Baker<\/strong> and <strong>Kira<\/strong> <strong>Toussaint<\/strong> of the Netherlands will be in the first heat, while, Canada\u2019s <strong>Kylie Masse<\/strong>, USA\u2019s <strong>Olivia Smoliga<\/strong> and Australia\u2019s <strong>Kaylee MeKeown<\/strong> are in the second heat.<\/p>\n<p>The men\u2019s 200 free semis will feature China\u2019s <strong>Sun Yang<\/strong>, Australia\u2019s <strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong> and USA\u2019s <strong>Andrew Seliskar<\/strong> in the first heat and Britain\u2019s <strong>James Guy<\/strong> and <strong>Duncan Scott<\/strong> in the second heat, along with USA\u2019s<strong> Townley Haas<\/strong> and Lithuania\u2019s <strong>Danas Rapsys<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The heat sheets have been released for the second night of the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.
