There were many multiple-event winners over the course of this meet, including <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> who took home three titles (100 free, 200 free, 200 IM), <strong>Kate McCarville<\/strong> (200 IM, 400 IM), <strong>Antonio Thomas<\/strong> (400 free, 800 free, 1500 free), <strong>Audrey Coffey<\/strong> (800 free, 1500 free) and <strong>Molly Moore<\/strong> (50 free, 100 free).<\/p>\n<p>The events contested included the 200 free relay, 100 back, 200 IM, 50 free, 400 medley relay and 1500 free. Live results can be found on Meet Mobile under 2019 Region VIII Summer Sectionals.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Club Husker&#8217;s <strong>Audrey Coffey<\/strong>, who won the 800 earlier in the meet, dominated the 1500 to win by over 20 seconds. Sweeping the long distance events, Coffey was the only swimmer to go under 17 minutes with a time of 16:48.76. It was a 1-2 for Club Husker as <strong>Rachel Powers<\/strong> took second place clocking in at 17:10.29. Coming in third was <strong>Alexis Ljunggren<\/strong> of the University of Arkansas with a time of 17:19.52.<\/p>\n<p>Swim Tulsa&#8217;s <strong>Liberty Howell<\/strong>, who won the 400 free yesterday, finished fourth in a time of 17:30.61 followed by Kansas Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Christine Blomquist<\/strong> (17:41.40), Plymouth Canton Cruisers&#8217; <strong>Sophia Balow<\/strong> (17:43.06), Kansas Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Claire Campbell<\/strong> (17:49.71) and Springfield&#8217;s <strong>Allison Weber<\/strong> (17:52.76).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Antonio Thomas<\/strong> of Missouri State proved his distance swimming brilliance, picking up his third title of the meet after winning the 400 and 800 free earlier. He was the only swimmer under 16 minutes, winning by over 21 seconds to win with ease, clocking in at 15:43.82. <strong>Christopher Callan<\/strong> of Trident Aquatics came in second with a time of 16:05.84, while <strong>Hunter Denison<\/strong> added to his podium finishes with third-place honors at 16:15.90.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alec Enyeart<\/strong> of Tsunami Swim Team finished fourth in a time of 16:21.19, while unattached <strong>Luke Valley<\/strong> grabbed fifth (16:32.32). Finishing sixth was Swim Tulsa&#8217;s <strong>Daniel Sibley<\/strong> (16:34.52) while Empire KC&#8217;s <strong>Harold Tjaden<\/strong> was close behind to take seventh (16:34.96). Parkway&#8217;s <strong>Ryan Baker<\/strong> (16:44.27) rounded out the top eight swimmers.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Free Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Sarpy County Swim Club <strong>(Lanyon Mlinek, Lily Cunningham, Elizabeth Ford, Malia Snow) <\/strong>took home the gold in a time of 1:53.25, while the team from Aquatic Club of Elhorn took silver (1:53.33). In third place was Greater Omaha&#8217;s team, touching the wall at 1:53.67, followed by Rockwood Swim Club at 1:54.24.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Free Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Sooner Swim Club&#8217;s quartet of\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Tang<\/strong>, <strong>Daniel Wilson<\/strong>, <strong>Caleb McGuire-Gregory<\/strong> and <strong>Aiden Hayes<\/strong> won the title in a time of 1:35.07. The team from American Energy Swim Club finished second (1:36.02), while the team from Flyers Aquatics came in third (1:36.23). Greater Omaha&#8217;s team finished fourth (1:36.33), followed by Aquatic Club of Enid (1:36.94).<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>Club Husker&#8217;s <strong>Autumn Haebig<\/strong> added to her already-rich haul of podium finishes to take home the gold, winning in a time of 1:03.23. Coming a close second was <strong>Dewi Blose<\/strong> of American Energy Swim Club clocking in at 1:03.37, while Kansas Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Elizabeth Amato-Hanner<\/strong> took third place (1:03.94).<\/p>\n<p>Empire KC&#8217;s <strong>Abigail Karl<\/strong> took fourth-place honors at 1:04.64, while Springfield&#8217;s <strong>Molly Moore\u00a0<\/strong>nabbed fifth place (1:04.80). Springfield&#8217;s <strong>Causaundra Moses\u00a0<\/strong>took sixth with a time of 1:04.95, while Greater Omaha&#8217;s <strong>Isabella Pantano<\/strong> (1:05.22) and Flyers Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Zoe Thatcher<\/strong> (1:05.52) rounded out the championship final.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>Rockwood&#8217;s <strong>Jac<\/strong><strong>k Dolan <\/strong>took the title in a time of 56.74, dropping almost a second from his prelims time. This is Dolan&#8217;s third title of the meet, after having won the 100 and 200 free earlier. Sixteen-year-old <strong>Luke Barr<\/strong> of Sarpy County took silver in a time of 57.35 while <strong>Kevin Glen<\/strong> of the Kansas City Blazers finished third (57.67).<\/p>\n<p>Elhorn&#8217;s <strong>Thomas Nelson<\/strong> came fourth (58.91) followed by Greater Nebraska&#8217;s <strong>Jordan Coffey<\/strong> (59.05) and Sooner Swim Club&#8217;s <strong>Aiden Hayes<\/strong> (59.42). Kansas City Blazers&#8217; <strong>John Paul Hynes\u00a0<\/strong>(59.62) and Greater Omaha&#8217;s <strong>Colin Lafave<\/strong> (59.98) came seventh and eighth respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p>Sixteen-year-old <strong>Kate McCarville<\/strong> of Springfield Aquatics took home the gold to sweep both the IMs in a time of 2:18.19. Touching the wall second was Aggie Swim Club&#8217;s <strong>Caroline Thiel<\/strong> clocking in at 2:18.61, while Husker&#8217;s <strong>Victoria Beeler<\/strong> finished third in a time of 2:19.15.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katherine Steward<\/strong> of Splash Club took fourth place at 2:19.66, while <strong>Hanna Newby<\/strong> of American Energy Swim Club finished fifth (2:21.70). In sixth was Club Husker&#8217;s <strong>Allison Kopas<\/strong> (2:21.75), followed by Kansas Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Dannie Dilsaver<\/strong> (2:21.80) and Flyer Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Zoe Thatcher\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.55).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Benjamin Patton<\/strong> of Wichita Swim Club dropped about a second from his prelims time to comfortably take home his second title of the meet. He swam a time of 2:05.13. <strong>Cooper Scharff<\/strong> of Flyer Aquatics was more than three seconds behind at 2:08.75. Parkway&#8217;s Tyler Lewis took home third-place honors at 2:08.77.<\/p>\n<p>Nathan Bright finished in fourth place clocking in at 2:09.47, followed by a close battle between Greater Omaha&#8217;s <strong>Conner Funke<\/strong> (2:10.41) and Flyer Aquatics&#8217; <strong>Carter Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.48). Plymouth Canton Cruisers&#8217; <strong>Stephen Freitag<\/strong> finished seventh (2:10.55) and Kansas City Blazers&#8217; <strong>Maxwell Boehnlein<\/strong> (2:11.87) rounded out the championship final.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Molly Moore<\/strong> of Springfield Aquatics showcased her sprinting brilliance to take the title at 26.00 after previously winning the 100 free. <strong>Naeleah Hadford<\/strong> of Inspire Swim Team took second-place honors at 26.36 to narrowly beat out Missouri State&#8217;s <strong>Anna Miller<\/strong> (26.39).<\/p>\n<p>Plymouth Canton Cruisers&#8217; <strong>Brady Kendall\u00a0<\/strong>finished fourth at 26.40, while University of Arkansas&#8217; <strong>Kobie Melton<\/strong> finished fifth at 26.48. Rec Plex Sharks&#8217; <strong>Courtney Harris<\/strong> nabbed sixth place (26.93), while American Energy&#8217;s <strong>Dewi Blose<\/strong> finished seventh (26.99) and University of Arkansas&#8217; <strong>Brittney Pike<\/strong> finished eighth (27.28).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p>Sooner Swim Club&#8217;s <strong>Daniel Wilson<\/strong> emerged victorious, touching the wall at 23.41. Unattached <strong>Cobe Garcia<\/strong> won silver with a time of 23.44 while Sooner Swim Club&#8217;s <strong>Aiden Hayes<\/strong> added to his two titles, coming third (23.60).<\/p>\n<p>Enid&#8217;s<strong> Micah Chambers<\/strong> finished fourth (23.68), followed by Plymouth Canton Cruisers&#8217; <strong>Eugene Li<\/strong> (23.80) and Scott Cain (24.09). Rockwood&#8217;s <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> finished seventh (24.24) while Berzerker Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Benjamin Hines<\/strong> (24.38) rounded out the championship final.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>Springfield Aquatics&#8217; quartet of <strong>Casaundra Moses<\/strong>, <strong>Aubree Brouwer<\/strong>, <strong>Kate McCarville<\/strong> and <strong>Molly Moore<\/strong> took the title, clocking in at 4:14.46 to win by over four seconds. In second place was the team from University of Arkansas (4:18.94), while the team from Club Husker took third place clocking in at 4:20.47.<\/p>\n<p>They were followed by Splash Club (4:20.47), American Energy Swim Club (4:22.98) and Flyers Aquatics (4:25.78).<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Medley Relay<\/h3>\n<p>The team from Greater Omaha Aquatics Leopard (<strong>Colin Lafave, Conner Funke, Rush Clark, Kody Hollingsworth<\/strong>) snatched the crown with a time of 3:52.08.
