Right behind her were a pair of 2:04\u2019s, <\/span>Lily Gardner<\/b>, from Tualatin Hills Swim Team posted a time of 2:04.12, and <\/span>Haley Hill<\/b> of Bronco Swim Club followed for third with a 2:04.61. <\/span>Ryan Falk<\/b> finished fourth with 2:05.54, followed by <\/span>Kathryn Shanely<\/b> at 2:05.83. Jack Hoagland<\/b> of Charger Aquatics snatched the crown with a time of 1:52.51. Second place was <\/span>Cole Giandinoto<\/b> of Swim Utah at 1:53.46. Following was\u00a0<\/span>Benjamin Waterman <\/b>of Swim Utah at 8:24.05 for third moving up from his 18th seed.<\/span> Fourth place was <\/span>Hugo Sykes<\/b> at 1:53.78, followed by <\/span>Kevin Jackson<\/b> at 1:53.94, <\/span>Trent Martinez <\/b>at 1:55.25, and <\/span>Darragh Mahns<\/b> at 1:56.36 and following behind for 8th was <\/span>Ethan Luc <\/b>at 1:57.80.<\/span><\/p>\nWomen\u2019s 400 IM<\/b><\/h3>\n
In the night’s longest individual event,\u00a0<\/span>Mia Rankin <\/b>from Phoenix Swim Club dropped over four seconds clocking in at 4:53.19 winning by five seconds. Following behind for second and third were <\/span>Charity Pittard <\/b>from Boise YMCA at 4:58.55<\/span> and <\/span>Mary Codevilla<\/b> from Elevation Athletics at 4:59.62. Right behind <\/span>Codevilla<\/b> was <\/span>Charlotte Simon <\/b>at a 4:59.80, followed by <\/span>Lauren Burckel <\/b>at<\/span> 5:00.68. Then came\u00a0<\/span>Katharine Adams<\/b> at 5:03.02, <\/span>Sadie Edwards<\/b> at 5:03.54 and <\/span>Millia Ruthven<\/b> at 5:04.52.<\/span><\/p>\nMen\u2019s 400 IM<\/b><\/h3>\n
Swim Utah\u2019s <\/span>Jackson Cunningham<\/b> claimed the title in this event after a two-second drop with a time of 4:26.39. However, it was a close race for second for <\/span>Jacob Hand<\/b> of Charger Aquatics (4:30.20) and teammate <\/span>Jack Hoagland<\/b> who slammed into the wall with a time of 4:30.63 for third just off a first-place finish in the 200 free. In fourth was <\/span>Daniel Matheson <\/b>with a 4:31.17, fifth was <\/span>Kyle Benjamin<\/b> at 4:33.07. Coming in sixth place was <\/span>Tristan McFarland<\/b> who touched at 4:34.95. Seventh place went to <\/span>Devin Esser<\/b> (4:39.012) and eighth place went to <\/span>Landon Driggers<\/b> (4:40.72).<\/span><\/p>\nWomen\u2019s 100 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n
This event was a nail-biter to the finish. Four women were under 1:04 however, Lake Oswego\u2019s <\/span>Mara Newman <\/b>out-touched the field for the title at 1:03.15. Right behind her for second was <\/span>Katelyn Lewicki <\/b>of Elevation Athletics<\/span> at 1:03.75. <\/span>Emma Lawless<\/b> of Swim Utah touched at 1:03.86 for third. <\/span>Kaitlyn McCoy <\/b>touched next at 1:04.51, ahead of <\/span>Katelyn Laderoute <\/b>at 1:04.90. Touching the wall at sixth <\/span>Natalie Arky <\/b>coming in at 1:04.61, followed by <\/span>Isabella Wallace <\/b>at 1:04.78, and <\/span>Molly Hogg<\/b> at 1:05.24.<\/span><\/p>\nMen\u2019s 100 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n
Phoenix Swim Club\u2019s <\/span>Meguru Hotta<\/b> claimed the title in this event after a half-second drop with a time of 56.35. He was closely followed by <\/span>Gavin Olson<\/b> of Foothills Swim Team touching in second at 56.66. <\/span>Harrison Lierz <\/b>of Elevation Athletics touched at 57.17 for third. Closely behind <\/span>Lierz<\/b> was <\/span>Cale Berkoff<\/b> who finished at 57.35. <\/span>Wilder Kruse <\/b>touched next at 58.02, ahead of <\/span>Jackson Cunningham <\/b>at 58.87 who claimed the title in the 400 IM. Following was <\/span>Zachary Tan <\/b>who<\/span> came in at 58.91 and <\/span>Landon Diggers <\/b>at 1:00.17.<\/span><\/p>\nWomen\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n
The first night of relays ended in a dominate win for the \u201cA\u201d team from the University of Denver Hilltoppers securing first place with a time of 3:54.58. Coming into the wall second was Bainbridge Island Swim Club at 3:57.79. Following close behind for third was Elevation Aquatics at 3:58.57.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nMen\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n
On the men’s side,\u00a0the Denver Hilltoppers also secured another first-place finish with a two-second lead clocking in at 3:27.21. Charger Aquatics received a second-place finish following the Hilltoppers with a time of 3:29.66.
