On the seventh day at the FINA World Championships in the women’s three-meter final event, the top 5 divers stayed in the same position they started in for the whole competition. All the top spots were filled with consistent, veteran divers.<\/p>\n
Shi Tingmao<\/strong>, the defending Olympic and World Championship champion on women’s three meter, showed incredible steadiness and composure during the meet. She remained in the number one spot the entire time.<\/p>\n Every one of her dives scored between 76.5 and 79.5 points, precise consistence rarely seen in diving.\u00a0This is her seventh gold medal at a World Championships.<\/p>\n Shi’s teammate Wang Han<\/strong>\u00a0followed closely behind her for the duration of the event, finishing only 18 points behind. Wang is no stranger to the World Championships either; she has three gold medals and this will be her fourth silver.<\/p>\n The bronze medal is going home with Australian diver\u00a0Maddison Keeney<\/strong>, the reigning Olympic bronze medalist in the same event. She received seven-and-a-halves and eights from the judges on every single dive.
