Highlights include a twist with an &#8220;outside smoke&#8221; win, a splash of nail-biting close finishes, and a stir of relay fun. Wisconsin Aquatics, Fox Valley Swim Team, and Hawkeye Swim Club continue to show dominance and depth at Speedo Sectional in Minneapolis location. The events covered today will be the 200 Freestyle, 400 Individual Medley, 100 Backstroke, and the 400 Freestyle Relay.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Speedo Sectionals in Minneapolis <a href=\"http:\/\/sidearmstats.com\/minnesota\/swim\/index.htm\">live results<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/UMNRecSports\">webcast<\/a>\u00a0can be found on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/swimmpls.blogspot.com\/\">meets home page<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To kick off day two\u2019s evening, <\/span><b>Hannah Burvill <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of the Hawkeye Swim Club comfortably takes first with a winning time of 2:00.85. <strong>Tevyn Waddel<\/strong> was shortly behind her clocking in at 2:02.90, while the 800 Freestyle winner of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2019-speedo-sectionals-minneapolis-day-1-mchugh-brothers-go-1-2\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">last night<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong>, touches at 2:03.29.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fourth place went to <strong>Alana Palmer<\/strong> at 2:03.87, fifth to <strong>Katelyn Blattner<\/strong> at 2:04.21, and sixth to <strong>Madison Waechter<\/strong> at 2:04.82. The top seed after prelims going into the finals but placed fifth at finals was <strong>Abbey Erwin<\/strong> and came into the wall at 5:00.65. Fellow Wisconsin Aquatics teammate, <strong>Graham Miotke<\/strong>, was the runner up with a time of 4:33.61.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In third was <strong>Seth Borget<\/strong> (4:35.69), fourth was <strong>Michael Benington<\/strong> (4:36.95), and fifth was <strong>Kyle Lewarchick<\/strong> (4:37.02). The winner of the 200 Freestyle earlier tonight, <strong>Hannah Burvill,<\/strong> came in seventh at 1:03.30. <strong>Hannah Lindsey<\/strong> rounds out the A final with a time of 1:03.68.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Men\u2019s 100 Backstroke<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the distance gets shorter, the times get closer! The Men&#8217;s 100 Backstroke was a race to the finish. 18 year-old <strong>Peter Larson<\/strong> takes the win at 56.37. <strong>Maximillian St. George<\/strong> of Fox Valley came in second at 56.76, and <strong>John Colin<\/strong> came in third with a 56.83.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Tyler Klatt<\/strong> (57.58) of Wyoming began the 57 wave, followed by <strong>Griffin O\u2019Leary<\/strong> (57.71), <strong>Collin Schuster<\/strong> (57.75), <strong>William Brenton<\/strong> (57.76), and <strong>Daniel Sivak<\/strong> (57.90).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women&#8217;s 400 Freestyle Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The loudest and most audience-engaged part of the night came around, and the swimmers did not disappoint. The top four teams were tight across the 8 lengths of the race, but <strong>Hawkeye Swim Club<\/strong> was first the wall. Just eleven hundredths behind, was <strong>Wisconsin Aquatics<\/strong> at 3:28.07. <strong>Hawkeye Swim Club<\/strong> (3:27.96), was just ahead of <strong>Wyoming Aquatics<\/strong> (3:29.26). <strong>Fox Valley Swim Team<\/strong> (3:30.61)\u00a0 finished fifth, and out touched fellow Illinois team\u2019s,<strong> St.Charles Swim Team<\/strong> (3:31.09), and <strong>West Swim Club<\/strong> (3:32.61).
