China added two golds to their collection in today’s diving events. The day four final events started with women’s synchronized three-meter.<\/p>\n

The winning team from China, made up of Shi Tingmao<\/strong> and Wang Han<\/strong>, put on a show for the judges and the world. The women received nines from the judges on every one of their dives, totaling to a final score of 342.0 points. The team stood in first for the entire competition.<\/p>\n

This is China’s sixth gold medal in the six women’s events that have happened so far.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Abel<\/strong> and Melissa Citrini-Beaulieu<\/strong>\u00a0also performed excellently, earning eights on every dive. The Canadian team held onto second place for the whole event and followed China by 30.9 points.<\/p>\n

Paola Espinosa Sanchez<\/strong> and Melany Hernandez Torres<\/strong>\u00a0from Mexico earned bronze.<\/p>\n

Men’s synchronized ten-meter platform was the second event to take place.<\/p>\n

China won big on the men’s side as well. Chen Aisen<\/strong> and Cao Yaun\u00a0<\/strong>scored nines on all their dives alongside their teammates. They were not quite as dominant as the women’s team though, standing in second place after their fist dive.<\/p>\n

Aleksandr Bondar<\/strong> and Viktor Minibaev<\/strong> from Russia finished in second with a stellar performance, followed by Tom Daley<\/strong> and Matthew Lee<\/strong>\u00a0from Great Britain.<\/p>\n

Diving continues tomorrow with the three-meter and ten-meter team team events.<\/p>\n
