NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of South Carolina has added another verbal commitment to their growing class of 2024: Winterville, N.C. native Bethany Tart\u00a0<\/strong>will join the Gamecocks next fall.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprinter, Tart does her club swimming with East Carolina Aquatics and was the 100 free runner-up at North Carolina SCY Seniors in February.\u00a0Last summer, she placed sixth in the 200m free with five other finals appearances at North Carolina LCM Seniors before going on to win the 50m\/100m free combo at Southern Zones.<\/p>\n

Also competing for South Central High School, Tart is a three-time North Carolina 4A State Championship finalist. She placed fifth in the 100 free and seventh in the 200 free during her junior season after racing to 14th in the former event as a sophomore.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n
